At Pause Fest in 2014, one of my work colleagues asked me what I'd really love to do for work, if I could do anything at all.
I had just moved to Frankston on the fringes of Melbourne, and was commuting 1.5 hours each way to Collingwood 5 days a week, never there to see my daughter in the morning, walking back in the door at 6pm or later each night, emptied out and tired and astounded to work out one day that I was spending over $5,000 a year on petrol and tollway fees alone.
So what would I do if I could do anything at all? I would run my own business, working from home, helping businesses on the Mornington Peninsula with their social media presence. In saying it out loud, I felt like I not only told my colleagues that day, but I also told myself and I told the universe.
A year later, I came up with the name Paperboat Digital, because I see content as a little paper boat that you lovingly craft, and send off on its way, down the magical river that is the internet. You never know where it will end up, who it will encounter; what it might do for you.
In 2017, I left my the advertising agency where I worked to do Paperboat full-time, and I have not looked back. Not all my clients are Mornington Peninsula based, and I also work at a co-working space now 1 day a week (I missed other humans!) but it’s been an amazing journey so far and I love being in charge of setting my own course, and doing the best work I can for my amazing clients.

Every business is different, and I like to meet every business where they’re at, but as a general guide, here are my prices for the main work I deliver.
Full Social Media Management - $1,500 - $2,500 per month
Social Media Strategy - $500 - $1,500
Consultation - $120 per hour
Copywriting - $80 per hour
Facebook/Instagram ads - $80 per hour
